Due to the harsh Fairbanks winters, we’re often approached by local insurance companies to do quick repairs of water damaged homes. Although the winter 2014 season had been relatively moderate, this particular project did not escape father winter. We were contacted initially by the client in late Dec 2013 for an early January completion date. The project consisted of water damage repair to walls and floors through a number of the homes living areas. New floor coverings, drywall, mud/tape and paint were applied to complete the project. The project was topped off with new base trim for a completed modern finish.

This particular project was a complete kitchen remodel from the studs up. We were contacted initially by the client in late Aug 2013 for a late December completion date. The project consisted of a complete tear down of the existing kitchen and attached living area down to the studs. New flooring, cabinetry, countertops, windows, drywall, trim and paint were applied to complete the full transformation. At the client’s request, several walls were also removed to gain a more open and party friendly space between the kitchen and main living areas. The project was topped off with new stainless steel appliances and quartz countertops.

It’s not often you come across such an amazing collection of planning, manpower and execution as this video I found while searching for building videos. It appears to have taken place in China, where a firm sought out to construct a 30 story building in 15 days or less (then, a record). Amazing, and perfect planning for our short construction season here in Fairbanks.
